Losey Firearms

This is copy of the wheeler trade rifle from the Charles Hanson trade rifle sketch book this would have been an early gun (1790 to 1820) sold buy both the american and british traders. The rifle has a 44" swamped 54 cal. colrain barrel a davis lock and brass hardware all in a hardmaple stock from dunlap woodcrafts.

The Wheeler trade pistol was a common site on the rocky mountain front in the 1820s an 30s this is a smooth bore 28 ga with a chambers lock.
This wheeler trade gun is a early version 1800 to 1820 it has a reworked l&r lock and a 20 ga. barrel in a walnut stock.
